“And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”-Luke 7:50
“Wow, she has a lot of followers!”
“Look, her business is flourishing!”
“O my! She is so pretty! What do I even have to offer?”
Sis, have you ever made any of these same statements? I know I have. In the busyness of a day, it is so easy to focus in on what someone else is doing while you may feel like you are just stuck and not growing at all. That is so not true, sis! Your life has meaning and you have purpose too. You just have to focus more on what God is calling you to do. John Acuff said, “Do not compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.” When we take our eyes off of God this can happen. Sis, God knows what you are in need of before you even ask. He knows how these present moments are working for your good. It may not make sense right now, but hold fast to His promises not wavering in your faith. It is the enemy’s job to try to plant seeds of doubt into your mind but you have to constantly put the Word of God on him. One of my favorite scriptures in this intense season of warfare has been 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
There is definitely a war going on and you are the target sis but God has given us power over darkness. We must continue to cast down those imaginations and thoughts that do not line up with the Word of God. Put the Word of God on the devil! It is so important that we seek the face of God in this season as ever before and know what the Word of God says for ourselves. We need to know how to apply the Word of God to our lives. Not looking to the circumstance or situation but looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith. It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Do not let the devil steal your faith in God. There may be chaos all around, but God will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. You may not understand your current season but that is okay just keep serving God. There is beauty in your story. I am rooting for you, sis!
